South of the Border Appetizer


INGREDIENTS:

1 2 1/2-3 lb frying chicken; 3 tb Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c Water 1 tb Dry mustard
1/4 c Vinegar 1 1/2 ts Salt
3 tb Oil 1/2 ts Pepper
1/2 c Chili sauce or catsup 2 tb Onion; optional
Recipe by: 1975 American Heart Association Brochure Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine all ingredients except the chicken in a saucepan; simmer 10 mins. Wash and dry chicken and place in a large baking pan. Pour half of the barbecue sauce over chicken and bake, uncovered, for 50-60 mins; basting with remaining sauce every 15 mins. Or, chicken may be immersed in sauce, then removed and cooked over charcoal, basting frequently. Yield: 4 servings. Approx. 250 cal/serving Submitted
