Lentil Pate


INGREDIENTS:

1 ea Onion 1 1/3 c Tomato ketchup
2 ea Garlic cloves 1 ts Cider vinegar
1/4 c Margarine 2 ea Bay leaves
1 tb Curry powder 12 ea Whole cloves
Slice onions & chop garlic finely. Heat margarine & saute the onion & garlic in it until they brown. Stir in the curry powder & add the ketchup with the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for about 20 minutes, until it thickens. Remove bay leaves & cloves.

This is best served hot on wholewheat toast or chilled on crackers. It is quite rich, so spread thinly.
