Granola #3

INGREDIENTS:

3 c Rolled oats
1/4 c Sesame seeds
1/4 c Wheat germ
1/4 c Skim milk powder
1/4 c Bran
1/4 c Vegetable oil
1/2 c Sunflower seeds
1/2 c Orange juice concentrate
I recently put a recipe on the network for Granola. I had several queries, one from a gentleman who mentioned an acquaintance using fruit juice instead of sugar/honey for sweetening, another from a lady looking for a recipe with a lower fat content. Since then, I have obtained a recipe from a friend, who is an excellent cook, which meets the above criteria. I would like to pass it along for their and others use. Here goes:

Mix all ingredients together so that the dry ingredients are coated with the vegetable oil and the orange juice. Spread on cookie sheet. Bake 40 mins at 225 degrees. Stir every 15 mins or so to ensure even browning. After baking add 1/2 cup raisins and 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut. Store in jar with tight fitting lid. Makes 6 cups.

Fruits can be varied. Seeds can be left out if undesired.
