Cheeseburgers

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 lb Ground beef
1 1/2 tb Onion; finely chopped
1/2 A bell pepper; finely
-chopped
1 cn Refrigerator biscuits; layer
-biscuits work best
5 sl American or cheddar cheese;
-cut in half
Salt and pepper
Combine meat, onion, and bell pepper in a skillet, season with salt and pepper. While meat is browning place each biscuit on a lightly floured pastry board and roll into a five inch circle. (If you don't have a rolling pin, a flat sided drinking glass works well!). Place about 3 tablespoons of meat mixture on each 5 inch circle. Top with 2 half slices of cheese. Moisten edges of biscuit with water, and place another biscuit over the meat and cheese mixture to form the top crust. Seal edges and prick top with fork. Turnovers should be placed on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Yields 5 servings.
